About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide virtual behavioral health services to children, teens, young adults, and families across Illinois. The therapist will deliver compassionate, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care through telehealth and partner with families to support meaningful, lasting change. Spanish-English bilingual fluency is strongly preferred. The role includes a caseload of 15–36 sessions per week, with part-time or full-time scheduling options. Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2:00–9:00 PM EST; weekend availability is a plus. The position is fully remote and requires an active Illinois license. Backpack Healthcare provides virtual behavioral health services covered by most insurance. Requirements

Active Illinois license as an LPC, LCPC, LMSW, or LCSW.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct clinical intakes and assessments.
Develop client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy via telehealth.
Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR.
Provide family education and care coordination.
Deliver culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs and experiences.
