About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is expanding into Illinois and is hiring licensed mental health therapists to help establish and grow its clinical presence across the state. The role provides fully remote, online behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Clinicians deliver care through secure telehealth and contribute to building the Illinois team and programs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

The position may be full-time or part-time, with approximately 15–36 sessions per week depending on the selected schedule. Most clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings, typically 2–9 PM; weekend availability is a plus. Compensation is $65 per billable hour for independently licensed LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT clinicians, with eligible clinicians also able to earn monthly performance-based bonuses. Requirements

• Active Illinois license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
• Comfort with technology and virtual clinical platforms.

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills; bilingual clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical intakes and develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy through secure telehealth.
• Collaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide family education and care coordination.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
• Deliver culturally responsive care that recognizes each family's unique needs.
• Help establish and grow Backpack Healthcare's clinical presence and care community in Illinois.
