About The Position

Pacific Blue Psychological Services is hiring licensed therapists and psychologists to provide mental health treatment to underserved populations in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing homes in Los Angeles County. The role involves providing clinical and counseling services to clients at various facilities, using appropriate interventions and psychotherapy modalities to help clients reach their identified goals. Therapists collaborate with other behavioral health specialists and provide individual and group therapy to support clients’ functioning. Services are delivered in the field, not remotely, and require flexibility, creativity, and a client-centered approach. The position offers a flexible schedule of 2–5 days per week, with 6–8 hours per day, and may be part-time or full-time. Therapists manage their own schedules and conduct brief, 20-minute sessions.

Requirements

• Must be licensed.
• Detailed knowledge of counseling and group therapy theories.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge working with trauma, substance use, and homeless populations.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish fluency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and complete intake documentation.
• Use therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with treatment teams, community resources, and referral sources.
• Provide crisis intervention and phone support when needed.
• Provide clinical and counseling services to clients in various facilities.
