About The Position

Professional Services Group (PSG) and Community Impact Programs is seeking a Wisconsin state licensed mental health therapist to join their School-Based programs in Washington County. This role focuses on providing intervention services to adolescents and their families who are experiencing academic and behavioral challenges within the school environment. The therapist will work directly in schools, offering individual and group therapy, education, consultation with school personnel, and family therapy as needed. PSG/CIP is a community-based social services organization committed to helping individuals and families reach their full potential through innovative and responsive programming. Ideal candidates will have an interest in working with K-12 students, possess an understanding of family systems, and have experience with children and teens who have experienced emotional trauma. Experience working with schools is also preferred. This position offers the possibility of summers off or reduced summer hours, with part-time summer hours available in addition to the 9-month salary.

Requirements

Master's degree
Licensure to provide mental health therapy in the State of Wisconsin (LPC or LCSW)

Responsibilities

Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
Create and review client treatment plans.
Provide psychotherapy in accordance with the client's treatment plans.
Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
Provide consultation to the child's school and school personnel as needed.
Coordinate services and maintain communication with all service providers involved with the clients.
