As a Licensed Mental Health Professional working in a correctional facility, your responsibilities include conducting intake evaluations, providing therapeutic interventions and suicide prevention techniques, and developing treatment plans for inmates. You will also be responsible for monitoring the clinical needs of inmates on your caseload, providing staff training on mental health topics, and documenting all findings in accordance with company and facility policies. Your role is critical in ensuring that inmates receive appropriate mental health services and care while incarcerated. This position is being opened in anticipation of future full-time staffing needs. The role will focus heavily on facilitating groups and supporting therapeutic services for the site’s psychiatric population. PRN hours are currently 0700–1900; however, these positions are expected to convert to full-time roles once approved, with an anticipated full-time schedule of 4x10s, 0900–1900. Candidates should be comfortable working in a correctional environment, providing group-based mental health support, and potentially transitioning from PRN to full-time employment as the need is finalized.
