About The Position

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) to join their team. This role is focused on making a difference in the lives of underserved individuals within a correctional facility. The position involves providing compassionate care, hope, and healing to those in need. Wellpath offers ongoing training and development opportunities, as well as clinical resources for support. This role is critical in ensuring inmates receive appropriate mental health services and care while incarcerated. The position is currently PRN with anticipated conversion to full-time, focusing on facilitating groups and supporting the psychiatric population.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Other Related Mental Health discipline
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a Mental Health treatment program, preferably in a Correctional or Hospital setting
  • Unrestricted, current license in the State of practice – e.g. LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, Psychologist
  • Must maintain all licensures, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.
  • Comfortable working in a correctional environment
  • Providing group-based mental health support

  • Potentially transitioning from PRN to full-time employment as the need is finalized

Responsibilities

  • Conducting intake evaluations
  • Providing therapeutic interventions and suicide prevention techniques
  • Developing treatment plans for inmates
  • Monitoring the clinical needs of inmates on caseload
  • Providing staff training on mental health topics
  • Documenting all findings in accordance with company and facility policies
  • Facilitating groups and supporting therapeutic services for the site’s psychiatric population
  • Conduct screening, assessments, and triages for inmates
  • Provide appropriate recommendations for level of care
  • Develop and recommend treatment plans
  • Conduct essential treatment services such as psychoeducational and transitional groups
  • Provide suicide prevention interventions and management techniques
  • Respond to sick call requests
  • Provide medication adherence
  • Coordinate with prescribing providers for medication evaluations
  • Provide crisis intervention
  • Oversee the clinical needs of patients on caseload
  • Participate in treatment team multidisciplinary meetings and administrative meetings
  • Provide staff training on relevant mental health topics
  • Document all findings in the patient's health record
  • Ensure compliance with facility and company policies and procedures
