The Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LPHA) is responsible for completing assessments and diagnosis, recovery planning, and acting as a liaison with other clinical service providers. This role involves the provision of treatment and crisis services during regular business hours, documentation of client progress, and the application of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). The counselor must demonstrate the ability to analyze clinical needs and social situations, identify problems and alternative courses of action, and exhibit multicultural sensitivity and effective communication skills. The position requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and creativity in problem-solving.
