About The Position
The Licensed Mental Health Counselor provides behavioral healthcare to clients in New York as part of a team working to make mental healthcare accessible and personalized. The role combines behavioral and physical health and involves evaluating client needs, developing treatment plans collaboratively, educating clients and families, and coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team. The counselor is expected to stay current with mental health care trends and methods. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with annual compensation of $115,000–$120,000 plus a benefits package.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Valid New York State license (LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC).
- Excellent communication and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess client needs through thorough evaluations.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective treatment plans.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health management.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
