About The Position
We are looking for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide ongoing therapy for clients through a remote care model. The role includes meeting with clients, identifying clinical needs, supporting emotional wellness, and helping people build healthier patterns in their everyday lives. You will provide professional counseling services while maintaining clear documentation and a secure virtual therapy environment.
Requirements
- Active Iowa LMHC license in good standing
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience providing therapy or counseling services
- Strong understanding of assessments, treatment planning, and documentation
- Strong communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients for individual telehealth therapy sessions
- Complete clinical evaluations and ongoing client reviews
- Help clients set realistic treatment goals
- Provide counseling for mood concerns, stress, grief, trauma, and adjustment issues
- Teach coping strategies and emotional regulation skills
- Update treatment plans based on client response and progress
- Complete progress notes and required records on schedule
- Follow professional standards for remote mental health services
