About The Position

The Pouch clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated clinician to join our team in a dynamic dual role as both clinician and consultant. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children (ages 0–5) and their families by delivering high-quality mental health services in community and outpatient settings. The clinician will provide individual, family, group, and collateral therapy, while also offering mental health consultation and support to ACS staff and involved families. This role is ideal for someone who values early childhood intervention, collaborative care, and community-based work. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, identifying client and family needs, and delivering comprehensive services that address psychosocial concerns, post-hospital transitions, and crisis situations. The clinician will also engage in advocacy efforts and connect families to vital community resources. Timely and accurate documentation is essential. This position requires local travel and reliable transportation.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Active NYS registration or licensure required (LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC).
  • Two (2) years of post-graduate experience preferred.
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital, community mental health, or healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with young children and families strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with medical or healthcare environments and/or specialty clinical areas preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based environment.
