About The Position

Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team in Queens, NY. This role involves helping children with special needs reach their goals by providing ongoing special instruction and/or ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their most natural environment. You will educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over. The position requires working in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings. You will follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment, address identified goals, and prepare progress reports. Maintaining child records and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations is crucial, with required records submitted within established timelines. Achieve Beyond specializes in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings, offering ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy, as well as Special Education/SEIT services for children and families in the metro New York area and beyond.

Requirements

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to: Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth–5 is preferred but not necessary
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing special instruction and/or ABA services to children (ages birth-3) in their most natural environment.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations).
• Submit required records within the established timelines.
