About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) for The Family Counseling Center in Gloversville, New York. This role involves providing outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health or substance use disorders. The position requires delivering individual, family, and group counseling using evidence-based treatment approaches, completing psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing care coordination. The LMSW will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and case managers to deliver comprehensive behavioral healthcare. Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record and supporting a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented model of care are key aspects of this role, aiming to improve long-term patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) license in New York.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience providing behavioral health counseling services.
  • Ability to work with patients ages 5 and older.
  • Comfortable providing individual, family, and group counseling.
  • Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Electronic health record experience.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered behavioral healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing mental health or substance use disorders.
