About The Position

At MPOWER Physical Therapy, we take a multidisciplinary approach to wellness by integrating orthopedic care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition services. Our collaborative model allows us to provide patients and clients with comprehensive support designed to help them achieve their highest level of health and wellness. We are seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) who is passionate about patient-centered care and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment. This role is ideal for someone looking for long-term stability, consistent referral opportunities, and the ability to work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and medically informed massage therapy services. Our massage therapists partner with physical therapists, personal trainers, and other providers to support patient recovery, performance, and overall wellness.

Requirements

  • Current certification through an accredited program of Massage Therapy
  • Current Massage Therapists license is valid in the state of Tennessee
  • CPR certification is required
  • Minimum one year of professional massage therapy experience required
  • Excellent knowledge in physiology and working knowledge of human anatomy and orthopedics
  • Neat, professional appearance along with kind and helpful personality
  • Handle difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent follow up skills with clients and fellow team members
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Maintain patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the company
  • Comfortable effectively using MS office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook with various internet applications

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Understand, implement, and uphold the MPOWER model of care
  • Evaluate and treat clients while maintaining timely and professional documentation
  • Maintain the required number of massage hours as determined by MPOWER management
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet clinic needs, including attendance at team and individual meetings
  • Work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, personal trainers, nutrition professionals, and other providers to support comprehensive client care
  • Communicate effectively with referral sources regarding patient/client progress and treatment plans
  • Complete administrative responsibilities consistently, including: Ensuring all sessions are properly paid for and checked out, Monitoring and responding to company email daily, Maintaining accurate records within MPOWER’s administrative software
  • Follow up with clients after sessions to encourage retention and continuity of care
  • Assist with recruitment and training initiatives as needed
  • Submit accurate and timely tip reporting
  • Provide at least one month’s notice for time off requests and coordinate client coverage with fellow massage therapists
