About The Position

The Spa Therapist is responsible for setting up treatment stations, greeting guests and explaining services, conducting pre-treatment consultations, promoting treatment products, and maintaining treatment rooms. The Spa Therapist must maintain strong knowledge of spa operations, treatments, packages, products, equipment, and property amenities. They are responsible for preparing, cleaning, disinfecting, and restocking treatment rooms and equipment before and after each service. The role involves greeting guests, confirming services, obtaining medical releases, conducting consultations, and explaining draping procedures. Performing spa treatments according to company standards, safety guidelines, and applicable regulations is crucial. The therapist will also recommend and sell appropriate spa products, deliver personalized guest service, maintain guest history records, provide directions, promote property amenities, and resolve concerns. Maintaining a clean, safe, professional, and welcoming environment is essential, as is effective communication and collaboration with team members and other departments. Participation in meetings and training on new products, procedures, programs, events, and service improvements is expected, along with adherence to all company policies and service standards while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate information and ideas.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Understanding of lifestyle hotel products and guest services.
  • Must meet legal requirements for any required licensing.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Nice To Haves

  • Secondary school degree preferred
  • Previous work experience in service for at least 1 year.
