About The Position
Western Tidewater Community Service Board (WTCSB) is seeking Licensed Mental Health Counselors and/or Social Workers for their Windsor location. WTCSB's mission is to provide a coordinated system of quality recovery-oriented care in Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse Services to the citizens of the cities of Franklin and Suffolk and the counties of Isle of Wight and Southampton. They value staff, support diversity, and promote excellence and personal choice in consumer care.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related Human Services field required.
- Licensed (LPC or LCSW) upon approval by the respective Board required.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a human services field, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Valid current driver’s license and acceptable DMV record at time of hire and continuously thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Provide consumer assessments, to include determination of initial services for priority populations
- Schedule services
- Linkage/referrals to other service providers
- Provide counseling, plan, develop, coordinate, consult, and implement services that provide treatment, education, rehabilitation, and support to consumers
