Requirements

Have one of the following Connecticut low voltage electrical licenses: C5, C6, L5, L6, E2, E1.
Proven experience completing from start to finish security/fire alarm, access, CCTV, installation, maintenance, or other related lines of work.
Proficiency in installing (bending) emt.
Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50 lbs), climb ladders, work in challenging physical environments
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience pulling cable (efficiently), and drilling holes (not through finished floors though!)
Experience working with wireless technology (internet WiFi and alarm rf protocols)
Clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Experience and or certifications in alarm.com, DSC, Napco, Resideo/Honeywell, Axis, Brivo, Eagle Eye, Digital Watchdog, FireLite, Potter preferred.

Responsibilities

Install low voltage cabling and cabling assemblies (i.e. metallic & non-metallic conduit and raceways, etc.) according to national electric code in both residential and commercial settings.
Install and program new alarm and security/fire alarm systems, cctv, access control, and a/v equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing of systems.
Monitor inventory of service parts and keep van stocked properly.
Perform all duties in a neat and workman like manner.
Train customers how to use their new systems.
Adhere to safety regulations.
Be courteous and respectful and patient with customers, and employees.
Be to work on time.
