About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Licensed Journeyman Sheetmetal Technicians for projects located in or around Stamford, CT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, navigate scaffolding & work in confined spaces (crawl spaces or attics)
- Must have sheetmetal fabrication experience
- Must have basic hand tools
- Must have a CT license
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, building plans & specifications to determine layout placement
Responsibilities
- Set up, maintain & repair air distribution systems for heating, ventilation & air conditioning in residential, commercial & industrial settings
- Manipulate sheet metal & fiberglass materials
- Read & interpret mechanical drawings, building plans & specifications to determine layout placement
- Install/Assemble systems & hang ductwork, registers, grilles, diffusers & dampers using hangers & brackets
- Seal & insulate/apply sealants, mastic & specialized tape to join to ensure its airtight
- Test performance/conduct pressure & leakage test
