The Licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Engineer, under the guidance of the supervisor, ensures the safe and efficient operation of the building, central chiller plant and utility services, heat, water, air conditioning, etc., on a 24-hour basis. This is a position with no supervisory responsibility. The role involves monitoring Boiler Room, Chiller Plant and auxiliary equipment, making emergency repairs, and assisting in testing of emergency generators. The engineer will monitor associated equipment during assigned watch, monitor chiller operations, and manage Bulk Gas systems. Adjustments to air conditioning and heating units will be made to ensure proper temperature, and checks will be performed on fans for proper ventilation. A daily log of unusual conditions is maintained, and the HVAC central control system is operated and responded to via alarms. This is a per diem position located at NewYork-Presbyterian/ David H. Koch Center.
