Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Mortuary Science Program, plus any additional college credits required in your applicable state
• Must have ability to get MN licensure
• Successful completion of the National Board Examination
• Completed internship with applicable State Board Examination passed
• Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Lead families through arrangement conferences with care, clarity, and personalized guidance to create meaningful, fitting services
• Supervise and care for the deceased with full adherence to regulatory requirements and professional standards
• Perform preparation services including removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation supporting compliance and operational excellence across funeral services and cremations
• Support trade work for deaths occurring at surrounding area locations within the Vertin network
• Assist families with insurance assignments, follow-up paperwork, and timely delivery of cards, memorabilia, and keepsakes
• Build meaningful community relationships through involvement in local organizations and charitable events
• Share preneed referrals with preplanning specialists and support ongoing family connections
• Manage merchandise inventory, supplies, and assist with facility and vehicle maintenance
• Utilize local and digital marketing to educate and engage your community
