About The Position

Licensed DEXA Technician at BodySpec puts your California BDEO certification to work one-on-one to help people understand their bodies. This role involves performing DEXA scans in storefronts or mobile scan vans, driving to various community locations. Requirements

  • Must currently hold an active California BDEO (Bone Densitometry Equipment Operator) certification issued by the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch.
  • Available to work a consistent schedule: Sunday–Thursday (Friday & Saturday off). Event times typically run 7am–8pm, with potential for earlier start times to accommodate drive time.
  • Based in Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, or the surrounding area.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record in good standing.
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to thrive with direct, unfiltered feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Work in storefronts or directly in the community, driving mobile scan vans to various locations such as community centers, gyms, workplaces, health fairs, and clinics.
  • Perform DEXA scans from day one using existing BDEO certification, with onboarding including a team immersion week in Austin, TX, to learn scan protocols, equipment, and customer experience standards.
  • Take ownership of events from setup to tear down, ensuring excellence in service delivery and customer service.
  • Handle general administrative and maintenance duties for storefronts, machines, vans, and equipment.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
