About The Position

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Licensed Crane Truck Operator / Class A CDL Delivery Driver. This role supports the company by operating our crane truck and driving a truck to transport materials and equipment to specific construction job sites. S.A. Requirements

  • Crane Operator Certification (OSHA/NCCCO) for Boom Truck—Fixed Cab (BTF)
  • Unrestricted CDL Class A
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years driving experience
  • Possess or ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards found in the Fleet Policy
  • Current Class A CDL License
  • Previous experience operating a forklift
  • Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  • Average experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a crane / boom truck as needed.
  • Operate semi-truck with 53’ trailer / Unrestricted CDL Class A.
  • Verify and secure loads.
  • Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck conditions.
  • Drive truck to assigned destination(s).
  • Assist workers in unloading and loading trucks when required.
  • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Fill work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Maintain cleanliness for shop/warehouse/storage yard/parking lot/offices as needed.
  • Utilize tow behind trailer to make deliveries and pickups.
  • Deliver and pick up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
  • Understand and write a lift plan for crane operation.
  • Work overtime and off-hour shifts as required (possible overnights on occasion).
