The Licensed Counselor provides high-quality behavioral health services to patients across the lifespan. This role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You’ll collaborate closely with MedNOW’s healthcare providers and care teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care that supports both mental and physical well-being.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Colorado license
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health or outpatient setting
- CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
- Experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (AthenaHealth experience preferred)
- Experience in integrated or primary care settings
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and establish diagnoses
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy using evidence-based practices
- Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
- Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the EMR
- Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives as needed
- Ensure compliance with all ethical, legal, and professional standards
