About The Position

Skillforce is seeking Licensed Commercial Electricians for a long-term project in Salisbury, Maryland. The role involves commercial electrical installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting. Candidates need strong knowledge of running and bending conduit and MC cable, and must be able to work with EMT and rigid conduit. The schedule guarantees 40 hours per week. Pay starts at $36 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Valid commercial electrician license.
At least 5 years of experience working as a commercial electrician.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Strong knowledge of running and bending conduit and MC cable.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings in accordance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Work with EMT and rigid conduit.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine electrical system layouts and meet project requirements.
Inspect and test electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, and needs for adjustment or repair.
Coordinate schedules and work with project managers, contractors, and other trades to support timely project completion.
Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment, and implement solutions to restore system functionality.
Ensure work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians as needed.
