About The Position
The Commercial Electrician will perform electrical installations in commercial or industrial facilities. The work includes installing, bending, and removing conduit; installing or replacing lighting systems and electrical equipment; pulling and terminating wiring; and connecting electrical components. The position is based in San Leandro, where there is an immediate hiring need. Compensation is $36–$48 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience performing electrical installations in a commercial facility, as stated in the opening description.
- At least 3 years installing large industrial or commercial piping, completion of a recognized pipefitter apprenticeship, or equivalent military experience, as stated in the requirements section.
- Own tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Familiarity with updated National Electrical Code (NEC) codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, bend, and remove conduit.
- Install and replace lighting fixtures and systems, electrical panels, transformers, switches, and motors.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit.
- Terminate electrical panels and install fixtures, outlets, and other electrical devices.
- Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, and other components or systems.
