About The Position

The Adult Crisis Unit clinician conducts intake assessments for new crisis clients, including behavioral health and safety assessments, suicide/self-harm risk evaluations, effective written and verbal communication, and group facilitation. Requirements

• Master's degree in social service field (Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Services) or related field.
• Must have Associate License or Fully Licensed in either - LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
• Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, or a crisis stabilization setting.
• Experience working with children.
• Experience with trauma-informed care.
• Demonstrate knowledge and expertise with the chronically mentally ill population.
• All applicants must pass an intensive background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in mental health and substance abuse services and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for incoming crisis clients.
• Complete Behavioral Health Assessments (BHA).
• Conduct comprehensive safety assessments.
• Assess clients for suicide and self-harm risk.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Facilitate therapeutic and educational groups.
