About The Position

Sanctuary Recovery Centers is seeking a compassionate and skilled licensed Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering therapeutic services to individuals recovering from substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and co-occurring conditions. This role is essential in fostering a structured, supportive environment that promotes long-term recovery and personal growth. Important: This position requires an active, unrestricted Arizona clinical license, and only fully licensed candidates currently licensed in the State of Arizona will be considered.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Active, unrestricted Arizona license required (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
  • 1–2 years of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, and levels of care.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a drug screening test.
  • Must pass an APS (Adult Protective Services) registry check.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in substance use treatment or trauma therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care).
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups focused on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, life skills, and trauma recovery.
  • Coordinate care with case managers, medical providers, and peer support staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA, ADHS, AHCCCS, and all state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in audits, clinical reviews, and quality improvement initiatives in alignment with Sanctuary Recovery Centers standards.
  • Attend weekly clinical meetings and multidisciplinary case conferences.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
  • Support interns and new clinical staff as assigned.
  • Stay current with best practices in behavioral health and substance use treatment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education.
