The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members – and IAFF members struggling with addiction, PTSD, and other related behavioral health challenges to receive the help they need in taking the first steps toward recovery. It is a haven for members to talk with others who have faced or overcome similar challenges. Requirements

  • Masters’ Degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field required.
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland to practice required in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health counselor or other behavioral health-related field.
  • LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical)
  • LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)
  • LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor)
  • Licensed PhD/PsyD
  • LGPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor)
  • LMSW (LIcensed Master Social Worker)
  • LGMFT (Licensed Graduate Marriage & Family Therapist)
  • LGADC (Licensed Graduate Alcohol & Drug Counselor)
  • CPR and BFA Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy in a residential treatment setting
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate group sessions and psychoeducation
  • Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams to support patient progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation (with support from Heather AI)
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care
