About The Position

This position is responsible for providing assessment and therapeutic services in various environments as assigned. The role involves participating in the development and update of the Person-Centered Plan and providing individual, group, or family counseling/therapy to clients. Documentation must be submitted within state guidelines and company policy. The clinician will also provide input for Treatment Team Meetings, maintain communication with staff regarding client progress, and attend required training. Travel using a personal vehicle is required, with occasional overnight travel. The role also includes preparing correspondence, reporting non-compliance or suspected abuse/neglect, maintaining confidentiality, and completing NC TOPPS as required.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a Human Services Field.
  • Licensure issued by the governing board currently operating in the State of North Carolina regulating a human service profession.
  • Experience in the clinical area to be served.
  • Ability to provide clinical services using Evidence Based Practices.
  • Ability to use customer service skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize.
  • Possess good interpersonal, writing and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of socio-cultural characteristics of service population.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity in all clinical practices.
  • Ability to clinically assess clients and needs.
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to understand and apply relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Medicaid and State requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and therapeutic services in various environments as assigned.
  • Participate in the development and update of the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Provide individual, group or family counseling/therapy to clients as indicated in the Person-Centered Plan and specific program requirements.
  • Submit documentation for all services within state guidelines and in accordance with company policy and standards.
  • Provide input for Treatment Team Meetings.
  • Provide telephone contact with clients and collateral persons to assist the client in meeting the goals specified in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Maintain open communication with other staff as it relates to the progress and needs of the clients.
  • Work standard office hours with flexibility as approved by supervisor.
  • Responsible for travel using personal vehicle with overnight travel required on occasion.
  • Attend training as required.
  • Prepare correspondence in conjunction with management of client care.
  • Report any non-compliance with governing standards and/or any suspicions of abuse or neglect to the proper authority.
  • Maintain confidentiality and other responsibilities listed in governmental laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisors.
  • NC TOPPS completion as required.
