Our Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT) provide a true “hospital without walls” approach, delivering high-intensity behavioral health services directly within the community to individuals who may otherwise lack access to essential care. ACTT is a multidisciplinary team model designed to support individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness through comprehensive, person-centered services. These services address mental health, substance use, housing, vocational support, and overall wellness needs while helping reduce psychiatric crises and improve long-term stability. Pyramid Healthcare currently operates six ACTT teams across North Carolina serving multiple counties. We are seeking an experienced clinician or ACTT Team Leader to support our team in Williamston, NC and surrounding communities. The ACTT Team Leader provides clinical leadership and operational oversight in collaboration with psychiatric providers and multidisciplinary staff. This role ensures the effective delivery of treatment, case management, therapy services, and crisis support for individuals with severe mental illness. The Team Leader will maintain strong communication between staff, clients, families, referral sources, and community partners to promote continuity of care and positive client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Human Services or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Active North Carolina licensure required: LCSW(A), LCMHC(A), or other qualifying mental health licensure
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with severe and persistent mental illness
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience required
  • Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience preferred
  • Experience supervising or managing behavioral health or substance use services preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and daily oversight of ACTT team operations
  • Coordinate treatment planning, service delivery, and discharge planning
  • Supervise and support multidisciplinary team members
  • Deliver or oversee individual, group, and family therapy services
  • Collaborate with psychiatric providers and external community resources
  • Participate in assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning
  • Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, stakeholders, payors, and TMACT representatives
  • Ensure services are delivered in compliance with ACTT standards and best practices
  • Support continuity of care and community-based recovery services
