About The Position

Benchmark Human Services is a respected leader in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health, working with people of all ages in residential programs, employment services, crisis response, and early intervention. As a Part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will be involved in all aspects of care for young children with disabilities or developmental delays. This role focuses on helping babies and toddlers learn essential skills through various services. You will conduct evaluations, assessments, participate in Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), monitor outcomes, and provide early intervention supports to families.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Social Work
  • Licensed by the Department of Public Health.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license required.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license.
  • Confident in adapting to various learning styles to meet the needs of each child and their individualized treatment plan.
  • One year of experience working with children in early intervention preferred.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Natural Learning Environment Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to determine eligibility for services.
  • Perform autism and developmental assessments.
  • Participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings.
  • Monitor outcomes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide Early Intervention (EI) supports to families for the benefit of the child.
  • Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including Connecticut Birth to Three Program Regulations.
  • Develop rapport with children, families, and team members to foster a healthy learning environment.
  • Develop joint plans with families and recommend strategies using evidence-based practices and Natural Learning Environment Practices.
  • Implement IFSP for enrolled families and recommend service frequency based on child development status and family priorities.
  • Provide families with information, skills, and support to enhance their child’s development.
  • Utilize the coaching model and natural environment teaching.
  • Participate in Birth to Three sponsored trainings, meetings, and learning opportunities.
  • Complete Birth to Three Service Coordinator Modules and function as a Service Coordinator as needed.
  • Comply with all standards to ensure the health and safety of staff and individuals served.
