About The Position
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary team in the implementation and management of an integrated mental health treatment program. This role involves delivering direct patient care, developing and monitoring treatment plans, and responding to medical emergencies. The LCSW will also provide telehealth services, assess and evaluate resident mental health, and collaborate with legal counsel on mental health evaluations. Responsibilities include providing counseling, psychotherapy, group therapy, behavioral analysis, and substance abuse education. The LCSW will treat individuals experiencing assault, abuse, or neglect, conduct post-discharge follow-up, serve as the suicide prevention program coordinator, develop training materials, and coordinate case management for community and hospital placements. The position also involves attending staff meetings and providing oversight to behavioral health technicians and interns.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Minimum of one-year experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the independent level, where clinical supervision is not required.
- A current, permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice clinical social work independently in Arizona.
- Maintains BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the client.

Responsibilities
- Provides direction and oversight to a multidisciplinary team in the implementation and management of an integrated mental health treatment program.
- Delivers direct care to patients in accordance with the scope of practice, licensure, certification, and granted privileges.
- Develops, manages, and monitors patient treatment plans in collaboration with behavioral health technicians.
- Responds to and coordinates responses to medical emergencies as needed.
- Provides telehealth services based on patient needs and healthcare situations.
- Assesses and evaluates the mental health of residents according to DSM-5 diagnoses and refers to outside treatment facilities if necessary.
- Collaborates with legal counsel to provide written evaluations on the mental health status of individuals placed on the Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) list.
- Provides counseling, psychotherapy, group therapy, behavioral analysis, and substance abuse education as required by standards.
- Treats individuals presenting with signs of sexual or physical assault, abuse, and/or neglect using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Conducts post-discharge follow-up for individuals returning from inpatient mental health treatment.
- Serves as the suicide prevention program coordinator as assigned.
- Develops training and educational materials and provides clinical education to medical and administrative staff.
- Coordinates case management for community treatment placement, hospital placement, and other aftercare situations.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and training as required.
- Provides oversight and consultation to behavioral health technicians and interns as applicable.
