About The Position

MDPerm is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide behavioral health services at the 633rd Medical Group, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. This position supports active-duty service members and beneficiaries within the Operational Health Clinic supporting the Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) within primary care settings. The LCSW will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual counseling, crisis intervention, risk assessments, and multidisciplinary consultation while working alongside military and civilian healthcare professionals in a fast-paced military treatment facility.

Requirements

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
  • Must be in good standing with all licensing boards where licensed within the last 10 years
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Minimum two years post-master's experience
  • Recent clinical experience providing behavioral health services
  • Experience conducting behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Government security clearance/background investigation

  • Experience working within integrated primary care or Behavioral Health Optimization Programs (BHOP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
  • Diagnose and treat behavioral health conditions within the scope of practice
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide evidence-based interventions
  • Deliver individual, family, and brief solution-focused counseling services
  • Conduct suicide risk assessments and safety planning
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency behavioral health evaluations
  • Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within MHS GENESIS and other military electronic health record systems
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Support the Air Force Integrated Behavioral Health Care (IBHC) model when assigned as a BHOP provider
  • Perform walk-in behavioral health assessments and same-day risk evaluations when required
  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards, DHA policies, HIPAA requirements, and military treatment facility regulations
