About The Position

Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (BBHH), located in Bakersfield, California, is an 8.8-acre, 90-bed acute psychiatric and behavioral facility offering inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and adults. Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Masters Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field required (MSW, MFT).
At least two (2) years experience with one (1) year in a behavioral or psychiatric setting preferred.
Must have California issued License Clinical Social Worker.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a mental healthcare hospital environment where attention was focused on human behavior, psychiatry, psychology, or other mental healthcare situations.

Responsibilities

Counsels individuals and groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, mental or behavioral health issues and/or family situations.
Develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans.
Provides psychotherapeutic services to all patients and their families.
Serves as a member of an interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy.
Assures the deliverance of quality treatment to patients and their families.
