About The Position

This position will manage the clinical integrity of the behavioral health program and provide supervision to therapists. This position also will provide individual therapeutic services to clinic patients.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Active CA LCSW license.
  • Knowledge of medical providers and state agencies.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • High level of professionalism, patient service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform duties skillfully and effectively.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to positively and effectively represent the organization.
  • Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.
  • Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening.
  • Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
  • BLS/CPR certified.
  • Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Experience supervising mental health clinicians highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical efficiency and commitment to using an evidence-based approach to delivering behavioral health services.
  • Provide services in a clinical setting to patients identified as intake as needing substance abuse or mental health treatment.
  • Keep current and accurate records.
  • Testify at court as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate interns receiving clinical hours.
  • Interact professionally with the patient and the patient’s family or representatives.
  • Analyze operational data to assess the need for procedural revisions and enhancements.
  • Manage departmental performance, including reporting on metrics.
  • Recruit, manage, and review a team.
  • Set and allocate departmental budget.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Consider patient cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Perform supervisor-level responsibilities, which may include but are not limited to overseeing daily operations, managing and training, providing guidance and support, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
