The Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) will provide individualized counseling, education, and medication-assisted recovery to opioid-dependent adults in a safe, medically sound, and therapeutic environment. The goal is to provide opportunities for individuals to explore, change, and strengthen themselves to lead a healthy and productive life. This role involves completing individual and group counseling sessions, patient admissions, and comprehensive clinical assessments to ensure efficient access to treatment. A key responsibility is preparing and maintaining Person-Centered Plans (PCP) and Crisis Plans for Medicaid/Medicare clients, updating them as needed and uploading all related documents to the appropriate LME/MCO provider portal. The specialist will also handle the research, correction, and re-submission of denied authorizations, track Medicaid/Medicare recipient eligibility monthly, and monitor the submission of assessments and claims. A weekly report of billable services is also required.
