About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Blaster to conduct daily blasting operations at its Reostone Quarry and Underground Mine in Nashville, Tennessee. The role is responsible for the loading, transportation, storage, and security of explosives and other aspects of the underground mine blasting process. The employee maintains daily and monthly reports for explosive materials and assists mine management with drilling and shot layout, including shot timing and fragmentation analysis.

Requirements

• Maintain an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Hold an Underground Blaster Handler's Card or be able to obtain one.
• Comply with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms requirements.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely perform all essential functions of the position.
• Have a proven safe work record and demonstrate the company's courageous leadership model and values.
• Have a good attendance record.
• Be able to contribute as an integral team member in a growing, fast-paced environment.
• Have a proven record with full-cycle mining, including drilling, blasting, haulage, and ground support.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of blasting experience in a quarry or mining environment; preferred but not required.
• At least two years of underground mining experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily blasting operations at the Reostone Quarry and Underground Mine.
• Load, transport, store, and secure materials and processes associated with underground mine blasting.
• Maintain daily and monthly blasting reports for explosive materials.
• Assist mine management with drilling and shot layout, including shot timing and fragmentation analysis.
