About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Blaster to conduct daily blasting operations at its Reostone Quarry and Underground Mine in Nashville, Tennessee. The role is responsible for the loading, transportation, storage, and security of explosive materials used in the underground mine blasting process, as well as maintaining daily and monthly blasting reports. The position also assists mine management with drilling and shot layout, including shot timing and fragmentation analysis.

This is a full-time, day-shift position. Wages start at $30.00 per hour, and occasional overtime is available. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. Requirements

• Compliance with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to safely perform all essential functions of the position.

• Ability to be an integral team member in a growing, fast-paced environment.
• Proven record with full-cycle mining, including drilling, blasting, haulage, and ground support.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of blasting experience in a quarry or mining environment; preferred but not required.
• Two years of underground mining experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily blasting operations at the Reostone Quarry and Underground Mine.
• Load, transport, store, and secure explosive materials for the underground mine blasting process.
• Maintain daily and monthly blasting reports for all explosive materials.
• Assist mine management with drilling and shot layout, including shot timing and fragmentation analysis.
