Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW/LMFT)
About The Position
AltaMed is seeking a passionate Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist (LCSW/LMFT) to join their team. This role involves applying psychological and counseling principles in areas such as assessment, clinical interventions, research, training, case management, consultation, supervision of non-licensed staff, and program development. The clinician will be integral in integrating behavioral health services into a primary care setting, with responsibilities including diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning. Interventions will encompass individual, group, child, and family therapy, focusing on short-term problem-solving, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief psychodynamic therapy, crisis intervention, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, behavior modification, case consultations, and other evidence-based practices. The clinician will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will collaborate with patients to define treatment goals and measure success using evidence-based outcome measures. Involvement in research studies and multidisciplinary projects, as well as attending mental health treatment conferences/workshops, is also expected.
Requirements
- Professional Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Behavioral Science Board.
- Master's level degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience for LCSW.
- A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

- Participates in case consultations.
- Collaborates with patients to define treatment goals and measures of success using evidence-based outcome measures.
- Attends conferences/workshops concerning mental health treatment.
- May be involved in research studies or multidisciplinary projects.
