About The Position

Join our team as a Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist, where you will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to patients. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support with a focus on Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders at both the Detox and Outpatient level of care. The specialist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, promoting mental well-being and recovery.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPC-Associate), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or equivalent in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 6 months of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including adolescents, adults, and substance use disorders.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health status.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
  • Stay current with advancements in mental health treatment and incorporate evidence-based practices into care delivery.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and rights within the healthcare system.
