About The Position

Armor Health is hiring a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to provide care at Richland Prison in Columbia, South Carolina. The role is part of an established behavioral health program and multidisciplinary treatment team in a correctional facility. The professional provides psychosocial assessments, counseling and therapy, crisis intervention, and case management, while helping determine appropriate treatment approaches and referrals.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
Current state Mental Health Professional license.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide psychosocial assessments and preliminary diagnostic impressions, counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services to patients in a correctional facility as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program.
Collect supporting patient information through interviews, case histories, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques.
Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches or referrals to other specialists.
Provide crisis management counseling and/or short-term therapy as appropriate.
Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
Provide therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Apply knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions for each entity.
Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and related staff in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework.
