About The Position

St. Anthony’s Medical Clinic (SAMC) provides primary, specialty, and preventive care to individuals and families in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW or LMFT) provides behavioral health assessment, short-term, goal-focused, evidence-based therapy, care coordination, and case management as an integrated member of SAMC’s primary care team. The clinician collaborates with medical providers and support staff to address patients’ behavioral health needs and serves as a resource and consultant to the care team. The position also supports behavioral health integration at Father Alfred Center (FAC), St. Anthony’s residential addiction recovery program, through on-site services one day per week and collaboration with substance use disorder counselors on shared care planning and guest management. Across both settings, the clinician facilitates therapeutic and educational groups and supports continuity of care between residential treatment and the clinic. The role is guided by St. Anthony’s Franciscan values and emphasizes compassionate care, dignity, and social justice.
