About The Position

Bancroft is actively seeking a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) to join our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Center of Excellence. This team consists of approximately 50 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs/BCBA-Ds) who provide services across the organization. The LBA will work collaboratively to treat challenging behavior, build skills, and engage with a large group of like-minded clinicians. The position is for the Lakeside Program, serving adults primarily with ASD and related diagnoses who experience acute behavioral challenges. The program is largely campus-based, offering residential and vocational services in one setting, and also serves individuals in satellite community residences. The LBA will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, including operations, habilitation, medical, and behavioral services. The role involves directing the assessment and treatment of challenging behavior, as well as skill acquisition components of treatment. The LBA will also take on a leadership and supervisory role, managing ABA Specialists (often LBAs in training) while also conducting direct clinical work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • BCBA certification required.
  • New Jersey licensure in behavior analysis is required.

Nice To Haves

  • A PhD in a related discipline is desirable.
  • Prior experience in functional assessment and treatment development is highly preferred.
  • Prior management experience is also preferred.
  • Candidates with an active BCBA certification may be eligible to interview, though NJ licensure is a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and oversees all activities associated with the development and implementation of behavior analytic services within the Individual Service Plan and Behavior Intervention Plan.
  • Leads the development and implementation of behavior plans, including functional behavior assessment/analysis, preference assessments, and treatment evaluations.
  • Engages in ongoing data review and analysis to ensure effective programming.
  • Identifies training needs and develops and conducts trainings to ensure the ongoing knowledge and ability to effectively implement behavior plans.
  • Conducts/oversees team screening admission evaluations and intake assessments; oversees the admission, transition, and discharge processes.
  • Coordinates and leads clinical case review meetings (rounds) to ensure proper data review and discussion of the needs of persons served.
  • Serves as a behavior analysis expert to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Conducts and presents research to internal and external audiences.
  • Serves as a clinical supervisor, implementing ABA themselves but also training and directly supervising ABA Specialists.
