About The Position

Up to 85% of Air Force fighter aircrew surveyed reported some type of spine discomfort during their career. The OHWS program is designed to meet the unique physical needs of the rated fighter aircrew. Conditioning is accomplished through a comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary “pre-habilitative” physical training program with focused strength and conditioning, physical therapy, massage therapy, and athletic training.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Athletic Trainer by the OATA process.
  • Current Athletic Trainer (AT) Certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
  • Degree from an NATA accredited institution specifically for “Athletic Trainer.”
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletes.
  • Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services to Air Force fighter aircrew.
  • Implement a pre-habilitative physical training program.
  • Focus on strength and conditioning, physical therapy, massage therapy, and athletic training.
