About The Position
Mayo Clinic is seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I to provide patients and their families with accurate diagnosis, appropriate assessment, therapy, counseling, and assistance. This role involves maintaining good relationships with patients, their families, medical staff, and other personnel within the medical complex and with outside organizations. The counselor will also maintain patient confidentiality, establish effective working relationships with other treatment team members, and ensure accurate documentation in progress notes and treatment plans. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or educational program required.
- Knowledge of substance use disorder and 12 Step recovery philosophies.
- Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in State of Minnesota required.
- Current driver's license required for Fountain Centers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing counseling services to patients preferred.
- Counselors providing adolescent services and family counselors must meet training requirements or training will be provided.
