About The Position

The License Verification Representative maintains proper federal and/or state licensing documentation for customers ordering prescription products. The role reviews orders pending licensing verification, researches and maintains customer license information using electronic databases, reviews and activates new customer accounts, and reviews potentially fraudulent orders. The representative communicates with customers and external department contacts to obtain proper documentation and additional information, and works with customer service and sales regarding customer orders.

Requirements

Typically 2 or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Verify applicable federal and state licensing documentation to release orders for prescription products.
Review prescription and controlled-substance pending orders to verify that customer registration and license information is valid.
Contact customers regarding pending orders to request updated copies of their DEA and/or state licenses.
Update account information to enable quick release of pending orders.
Open accounts or create additional subaccounts on existing accounts as required.
Close accounts that are no longer valid.
Reprocess orders when a controlled drug is entered for the wrong ship-to address.
Review and activate new customer accounts and review potentially fraudulent orders.
Communicate with external department contacts as needed and interact with customer service and sales regarding customer orders.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
