About The Position
Stranger Soccer is seeking an entrepreneurial License Owner & Operator to launch and grow its operation in Boston. This is not a salaried management role; it is an opportunity to build and operate a local business while making football more accessible in the community. The License Owner will work independently, build local connections and grow the Stranger Soccer brand, with rewards tied to performance and growth. The role is supported by Stranger Soccer headquarters and its established operations and technology teams. Stranger Soccer is an app-based platform that helps players discover nearby football games, book a spot and turn up to play. Founded in Singapore, the company operates across more than 10 cities and has delivered over 100,000 games worldwide. Its mission is to make playing football as easy as going for a jog, and its vision is a world where playing football is as popular and accessible as watching it.
Requirements
- Passion for football and strong connections within the local football community.
- Experience in management, operations, sales or customer-facing roles.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently.
- Strong sense of ownership and ambition to grow Stranger Soccer locally.
- Motivation to deliver results, with rewards tied to performance and growth.
Responsibilities
- Launch and grow the Stranger Soccer brand in Boston.
- Recruit, train and manage a small local team of 2–3 people, supported by Official Hosts.
- Secure suitable football venues and regular playing opportunities.
- Drive marketing and customer growth through digital and local initiatives.
- Oversee game operations and deliver an outstanding player experience.
- Work closely with Stranger Soccer headquarters, supported by its operations and technology teams.
