About The Position

Berman Auto Group is looking for an experienced License & Title Clerk to join their team in Niles, IL. This role involves processing various vehicle-related documents for state registration, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all paperwork, including tax and title documents. The clerk will handle payoffs, registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles, license plate issuing and transfers, and obtaining dealer titles. Key responsibilities include preparing title work for sold vehicles, submitting it to the DMV, maintaining schedules, managing title inventory, and processing dealer trades and wholesale vehicles.

Requirements

Must have License and Title experience
Must be comfortable processing out of state titles and have a process confirming registration
Must know CVR
Highly organized
Comfortable working individually and/or on a team
Computer literacy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask

Responsibilities

Process documents for state registration, follow the proper paperwork and ensure that tax and title documents are also completed
Process all payoffs, registrations for new and pre-owned vehicles, all license plate issuing and transfers and obtain all dealer titles
Check for completeness and signatures on all required forms and check for accuracy of vehicle sale and purchase prices
Prepare title work for sold vehicles and submit them to DMV
Running & maintaining schedules on a weekly basis
Title inventory
Process and bill Dealer Trades and Wholesale Vehicles
