About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for a Library Technician 3 at the DeLaMare Library, part of University Libraries. This position serves as a key member of the DeLaMare Library team, providing advanced library operations support, coordinating workflows, and delivering high-quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community users. This position is responsible for performing complex library support functions related to access, circulation, collections, resource management, and user services. This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the DeLaMare Library, train and oversee employees, troubleshoot library service issues, maintain library records and systems, and support library initiatives that enhance access to resources and services. Additional duties may include coordinating projects, compiling reports, assisting with collection maintenance activities, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of experience in a library or other cultural heritage institution, including two years of technical level experience performing duties such as copy cataloging, acquisitions, electronic resource management; and/or organizing, curating and accessing government publications.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Library Technician 2 in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

  • Experience using integrated library systems (ILS), particularly Alma.

  • Experience working with faculty, researchers, and students in a higher education setting.
