About The Position

Jefferson County Public Library is hiring organized, detail-oriented Pages for multiple library locations and the Bookmobile. Pages help maintain the collection and support library operations by sorting, organizing, and accurately shelving materials, processing materials, and keeping displays visually appealing. They help create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons and may occasionally assist patrons with finding materials, directions, or the self-check kiosk, as well as troubleshoot equipment. Pages collaborate with staff and other Pages, participate in staff meetings and required training, and must comply with laws and ethical standards governing patron privacy, confidentiality, and public access. Applications are placed in a pool and reviewed as openings arise; applicants may be considered for interviews at multiple locations. This is a union-represented position with limited benefit eligibility and a maximum of 130 work hours per calendar month. The hiring rate is $16.71 per hour or the applicable local minimum wage, whichever is higher.
