About The Position

St. Cecilia School, located at 440 Norton Road in Columbus, is seeking a part-time Library Educational Aide for the 2026/2027 school year. This role is responsible for maintaining the library, managing circulation, and fostering a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. The aide will assist students, read to children, monitor behavior, repair materials, and help teachers find resources, all while upholding school policies and promoting Catholic values. The position may also involve assisting with book fairs and organizing displays.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in computer skills (e.g., MS Office, circulation software)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff
Ability to lift up to 50lb and move, stand, or kneel to shelve books
Hold an appropriate aide license or be eligible to obtain one before starting to work
Current satisfactory FBI and BCI background checks
Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in a school or library setting is preferred.
